Kaci Cummings has performed in a wide range of venues, including several different states, Europe and China. She has performed in bands, orchestras, and chamber ensembles. An honors graduate of the prestigious Interlochen Arts Academy, Ms. Cummings followed her dreams to The Juilliard School.
Ms. Cummings has performed with many groups including: The Juilliard Orchestra, New Juilliard Enemble, and the early music program Juilliard 415. She played the Quoniam solo from Bach’s B-Minor Mass on natural horn at five different venues in New York and Holland. She was a member of a Juilliard student brass quintet, woodwind quintet, and a horn trio. During her summers, Ms. Cummings has been a fellow at the Summer Music Institute at the Kennedy Center, Norfolk Chamber Music Festival, and the Round Top Institute. She has also been a staff member at the Kendall Betts Horn Camp.
Raised in the small, quaint town of Elgin, Texas, Ms. Cummings began her musical endeavors at the age of 10. Guided by Mr. David Cross and Professor Patrick Hughes, Ms. Cummings went on to spend her senior year of high school at the Interlochen Arts Academy under the direction of Dr. Gustavo Camacho. In the fall of 2014, Ms. Cummings began her Bachelor of Music degree studies at The Juilliard School, taught by Ms. Julie Landsman, Ms. Michelle Baker and Mr. Eric Reed. She anticipates graduating in May of 2018.
